Lifehacks: 10 Tips To Make Life Easier

  1. Pump up the volume by placing your iPhone & iPod
in a bowl - the concave shape amplifies the music.
  2. Bake cupcakes directly in ice-cream cones, so
much more fun and easier to eat.
  3. Freeze Aloe Vera in ice-cube trays for soothing
 sunburn relief.
  4. Stop cut apples browning in your child’s lunch box
by securing with a rubber band.
  5. Turn your muffin pan upside down, bake cookie-dough
over the top and you have cookie bowls for ice-cream.
  6. Store bed linen sets
inside one of their own pillowcases mean no more hunting through piles for a match.
  7. Pack shoes inside shower caps to stop dirty
soles rubbing on your clothes - you can find them for free in just about every hotel.
  8. Baby powder
gets sand off your skin easily - add it to your beach bag for a quick clean up!
  9. Find tiny lost items like earrings by putting a
 stocking over the vacuum hose.
  10. Make an instant cupcake carrier by cutting
 crosses into a box lid.

remeber the time when…

I sprained my ankle? Oh we were living in rego park so this must’ve been before I was in high school. We were getting off the elevator

(typing a post on a smart phone does not work!)

To be c..

the beast unleashed

I’m so encouraged by my friends who are training for the upcoming half marathon in March.  It’s pretty shameful that I haven’t completed any of NYE challenges, but I also like to think that this month was a good practice for the challenge that awaits in February. (yes, sitting on my ass)

Feb 6 2012 - March 6, 2012
run, jog, walk, c r a w l  100 miles!

it’s ON like donkey kong
wish me luck…

The new year can be a daunting experience for me.  the moment when I look back the year and say to myself ‘what did I do?’

New Year is that time where you’re making a list and checking it twice to see in what areas you want to improve, change, or even challenge yourself. I can never keep my New Years resolution and if you’re like me, you may be asking yourself ‘what is the point’? Honestly, I don’t 100% feel like there is a point, but I know instead of sitting on my butt hoping that something will happen, anticipating something new will happen, or looking for a new adventure to fall … why not make your own adventure? and… what better time than New Year? I’ve come up with several mini adventures and a couple of BIG adventures.  Wish me luck!

Big adventures:
be more organized
drink green juice every morning
save x amount or greater every month… you know, for the future
and red meat for dinner 3x a week only

To be continued…

remember the time when…

… we created a gmail account for you?  I don’t recall you using it until I stumbled upon these and i couldn’t help but to laugh out loud.

love how I can look back at these memories that remind me of him without sobbing (maybe a few tears - seems natural enough) God’s love, mercy, compassion, grief, anger, passion are chiseled down to the shortest verse in the bible, two words that tells me if the Son of God can cry then it’s okay for me to (once in awhile): Jesus wept.

perfect day (and it’s not over yet)

- went to bed at 9PM and woke up at 4AM (jet lag)
- google hang out with the kids from Kathy’s Home (what a great way to start the day!)
- Went into work to find a slice of a pecan pie and a chocolate banana pecan pie on my desk
- coffee break with extra shot of espresso (i’m up!)
- My credit card bills for the month of December is under $500; the irony. (looking forward to paying that off).
- client sent us a lithuania tree cake
- Boss said to me, “you guys did an outstanding job this year.”  (bonus points).
- dinner and drinks with friends to celebrate the day God created you and your continuous journey with Him.
Ecclesiastes 3:11 “He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.”

oh, happy day!

“the problem with the myth of “the one” or “we’re not meant to be” is it assumes that words, gifts, quality time, touch, and service is the glue that holds the relationship (marriage) together, when really it is your commitment to relationship (marriage) that safeguards the words, gifts, quality time, touch, and service.”
